McKiernans of Bawnboy Ballyconnell

Hello
I am wondering if anybody could help with info on McKiernan family of Bawnboy/Ballyconnell. John McKiernan married to Catherine Finlay probably late 1850s or early 1860s they had at least five children that I know of namely
Patrick b 1863
Catherine b 1867
James b 1872
John b 1875
Thomas b 1878 all the boys went to Glasgow to live.
John McKiernan snr was probably born sometime in the 1830s and died sometime after 1904 his wife Catherine I think died sometime in the 1880s

Hi there      My Gt Grandmother was Roseanne McKiernan(she married Patrick Devine of Bawnboy in about 1866/67) and she had a brother called James    - maybe there is a connection with your McKiernans   - i know so little of my McKiernan ancestors - would dearly love to find out more

Take a quick trip over to Bawn and go into The Keeper's Arms and Brian Mc Kiernan will update you on all the McKiernans in the area

Sadly for me  Bawnboy is about a 24 hour  flight away from where I live, I wonder if he would answer an email, thanks again
