Woods family
« on: Tuesday 02 June 09 07:42 UTC (UK) »

Would anybody have come across this family of Woods.
Brief details are Husband Robert and wife Jael - living at Hell Green
Road, Walpole st Peter - also there is daughter Florence.
I think this Florence is the one who married my great uncle, Ernest
Albery, (about whom I have made a posting)
There was a Jael Woods died in Docking, Norfolk in 1925.
Does anyone have any info on this family. Many thanks,
Ian

Hello Ian
The 1881 census has a Robert Woods aged 40 from Walpole, Norfolk, a farmer of 50 acres employing 1 man.
Wife Jael Woods, 38, from Shipdham Norfolk.
Children Robert 18, Lydia 13, Edward 11 George 8, Florence 7, Eve 6, Harriet 4, Ella 3 and Stephen S 5months, all born Walpole.

I assume this is the right family given the mothers unusual first name?  What kind of information are you looking for with regard to the Woods?

Hi Brenda,
I was hoping to locate some Woods from 1881 census, which in turn might
lead me to Florence Woods who married Ernest Henry Albery (my great uncle) in
Wisbech district, in 1897.
Thanks,
Ian
