St Andrews the Less parish lookup please

Can anybody look up a baptism for me if possible?

The baptism is a Melinda A Wingell who was born in 1912 to Emily Elizabeth Wingell (nee Hines) and Thomas Henry Wingell.

Hi Lisa,
I've searched through St Andrews the Less Parish registers but couldn't find a baptism for Melinda in 1912.
Nor can I see her on the Cambridgeshire Baptism Index.
Maybe the family were Non Conformist.

Welcome to rootschat  Grin

Did Melinda have brothers Lloyd Geoffrey born in 1927 and Winston Reginald born in 1923 parents Thomas Henry Wingell (a soldier) and Emily Elizabeth - both of these had baptisms in the 1930's at Cherry Hinton though I see Lloyds birth was registered Sheffield. Perhaps Melinda was baptised out of the county if she is their sister.  Huh

Yes that is the same family.  I didn't know about Winston!  Oh my that makes 7 children she had in total!

Do you mind giving me any info that you have or is that all is says.

I think perhaps you're right about Melinda then.  They moved from Cambridge to Lincoln, then to Sheffield and back to Cambridge.  I was hoping that as Melinda was born in Cambridge, she might have been baptised there.
