Hi,

I am trying to find the parents of

John Lane
Birth: 1800
All Saints, Hereford 
Death: 30 AUG 1874
10, Blue School Road, Hereford 

His wife was

Eliza Porter
Birth: 17 May 1806.
St. Peters, Hereford, uk 
Death: 25 APR 1879
Edgar Street, Hereford 

I'd lke to know his parents first there care a couple of possibilities on familysearch how do you know which is the right one??

Hi Rob

Looking at the 1871 & 1861 census for John and Elizabeth, I noted they said they were born in St Peter's Hereford.
There is a marriage on Familysearch on 10 June 1827 between John Lane and Eliza Porter and a birth for Eliza Porter 17 May 1806 and a christening for 2 June 1806 St Peters Hereford dau of William and Mary Porter.
