Elizabeth (Lizzie) Rattigan nee Ryan, County Roscommon.

My great grandmother was Elizabeth (Lizzie) Rattigan nee Ryan.  I've found a document written by my great grandfather stating she was from Ballagh, Kilrooskey, Co. Roscommon.  I have a copy of a Baptism Cert. dated March, 1937, which states her date of birth was 16th March, 1887 and her parents names were John Ryan and Bridget Cosgrave (or Cosgrove - difficult to decipher).  She was baptised at St. Ethnea's Church, Tulsk, Co. Roscommon on 17th March, 1887.  Fr. Ryan pp was the priest who performed the ceremony.  I've no reason to believe they were related, but I guess it's possible.

Lizzie married my great grandfather on 12th June, 1905.  I'm not sure if they married in Roscommon or Wexford.  My great grandfather was an RIC man and had been married to Bridget Oates (North Yard, Co. Roscommon) who died in April 1904.  My father believes that Bridget Oates had a brother who was married to a sister of Elizabeth Ryan.

Does Elizabeth Ryan sound like a member of your family?
