I am wondering if any of you on here are researching or have already researched either of the names above. The only information I have relating to these names is
Charles/Charlie Oliver - Died March aged 60 in March 1937. He originally came from Nottingham but moved to Ibstock Leicester..
Rose/Rosemary/Rosemarie Marsh - Married the above. Died  June 1960 aged 77. Originally from Nottingham.
They had 4 sons and 1 daughter who were born at The Meadows, Nottingham. Their names were Frank, William (Bill) and Albert. Albert was born in 1908. The other two were older but not sure of dates of birth. There were also twins born after Albert who were Samuel and Eleanor (Nell)
Any info would be gratefully apprecaited.

I've been looking for a birth reg for charles Clamp Oliver
I'll see what else I can find
it may be worth (if you can) investing (£7) in purchasing the marriage cert -that would give you the father's names of bride and groom - and witnesses names are sometimes relatives too

Aah - Imay have solved a little mystery -
There is no birth reg to be found for charles Clamp Oliver
I think the reason is that his birth was reg as Charles Clamp - think he was born shortly before his parents married!!!

Hi Ethowe,
Just been looking at your previous posts -and wozzle had already found you the marriage -and taken you way back with the Marsh family
You stated on this topic that you didnt have any infrmation other than names - and you didn't put Rose's full name -which had been given to you !!!!!
If you start another topic on the same subject could you please put a link to your previous post - then it will save us doing duplicate look ups.

Now onto Charles Clamp Oliver
he only seems to appear on 1881 census as Charles Oliver -on other census he is Charles Clamp
it seems he was born shortly before his parents married - and so his birth was reg as Charles Clamp
and he came from leicestershire -not Nottingham!!!
in 1901 he is living in Nottingham with his sister and her husband

Is there anyway of finding anything else out about William OLIVER (his father not his brother) or going back to his parents. Not to worry if not as I can possible pursue this at a later date as I have a lot to be getting on with in regard to family history.
