Is there anyone who has access to the parish registers for East Farndon and could do some look ups for me please.
I have found several Scotts from East Farndon and I am trying to establish the relationships between them.
In particular I am looking for the baptisms of Lois Scott bn abt 1805 and her sister Elizabeth bn abt 1813. Benjamin bn abt 1796 William bn abt 1798 John bn abt 1778 Benjamin bn abt 1776
Also details of the marriage between Samuel Scott and Mary Garnet they had 9 children christened at Market Harborough Independent Church beginning in 1805. Or even if there was any Scott marriages around the years 1800-1805.
I appreciate it's a big ask but I really would be grateful for any help.
Like angiem, I am also seeking information on the Scott family and so hopefully your information will help us to unravel the mystery that we have as to who were Lois and Elizabeth scott's parents.
Having trawled the IGI unsuccessfully we suspect that the East Farndon parish records may hold the key and therefore if anyone is able to confirm any baptism details of the above people and their families we would be most grateful.
Yes i think that you are right Seahall - i'm not sure what the implications are in that or whether we will discover the identity of Lois' parents (very unique name). The branch of the Scott family may however have a connection to Shoemakers though.
We are not familiar with the area and so are not sure where to go on this. If anyone can help we would be most grateful.
