Iam seeking the maiden name of Joseph Shaws' wife. Her christian name is Susan, born c1786. (place of birth ?)
Also place of their marriage c1819.
Joseph was born c1786, Kendal Westmoreland, he died 1876 Leighton Buzzard.
They had six children, Joseph, Mary Anne, Susan, Sarah, Christopher Irving and James Thomas.
Any other info on the children will be a bonus.
Our tree connection is James Thomas Shaw.b 21 Oct 1824 who emig to South Australia 1854 "Flora" with his second wife Mary Anne Parsons.

Hi Crow .....
Does the marriage cert of James & Mary Ann in 1853 confirm him as a widower?
As in 1851 he is living at home with father who is a widow. Stating he is unmarried also in the house is Mary Ann Parsons age 27.
Do you know when Maria died at all?
As that marriage has the name Thomas James Shaw and not James Thomas Shaw.
Mary & Susan Shaw b Aylesbury are both unmarried in 1881 and living together.
Can be found at RG11/1641 F 48 P 29.
What do you already have on the children to save repeating details?

Thanks for your continuing interest.
This is info I have;
JT or TJ Shaw's 1st wife, Maria Harrison Purssell b 1823, died 1847 Yarmouth Norfolk (assumed birth complications) along with 2nd son Stephen at Guiltcross Norfolk.
Their 1st son, William b1846 also sadly died in 1846.
Mary Anne Parsons, his 2nd wife, d 1854 in South Aust, a few days after birth of son, Francis J, who also died with days of her death.
Back to Joseph's children;
Joseph John b 1817 Aylesbury, d 1845 ?
Mary Anne b 1819 Aylesbury, d ?
Susan b 1821 ? d ?
Sarah b 1823 ? d ?
Christopher Irving b 1827 b ? d ?
James T or Thomas J b 1824 Aylesbury d 1892 Kent town South Aust.
Genealogy must be another word for addiction.

More on children to be going on with ...
Susan died aged 64 in 1882 Leighton Buzzard.
Cannot see Mary Ann ( she is not the one who dies in Woburn)
Christopher Irving marries Maria Jackson in Hackney in 1860
He dies Hemel Hempstead area in 1882.
When I next get to Leighton Buzzard (my parents live there) I will be able to check burials to see if I can see them.
Will let you know.
