I have a copy of my grandfather marriage cert they give his adress as cathedral square dated 1903 i am trying to trace his father thomas mahoney he is not on the 1901 /1911 cenusi be grateful for any help.

my grandfather was Bartholomew just full age his father profession was laboure that all the information on the marriage cert Bartholomew was marriage 28/8/1903.

reading the 1911 census he would have been 29yrs old he was married at this time they had four childern this means he was born 1881//1882 could this be the same person??sorry i cannot be more helpful.

That certainly looks promising. Does the 1911 census say his place of birth? If he was 29 in 1911 this puts his year of birth around 1881.
The 1881 birth registration will tell you if his father was Thomas Mahoney or not.

bartholomew was married in the cathedral church his adress was given as cathedral square the 1911 census was for High street where he and his wife livad afther there marriage .

It might be best to obtain the 1881 birth certificate for Bartholomew. This should help you further along. This will also give the mothers name.
