john phillips STEAINS born circa 1820 Camberwell, Surrey

Do not know his parents although believe they will be James Steains & Sarah Myers Satchwell.  Have spent several years piecing this tree together, so far 99% of Steains in UK descend from James.  Would love to fit John Phillips on to the tree.  Can anyone help please?

John Phillips Steains was born circa 1820 at Camberwell, Surrey.  The source of year & place was the UK census records.

He had 3 marriages & 5 children:

1. 1844 at Manchester, Lancashire to Lydia Sophia Smith (entry 20/670)
2. 1859 to Mary Hankinson at Salford, Lancashire (entry 8d/5 March quarter)
3. 1875 to Elizabeth Levett at Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire (entry 8d/268 March quarter)

Any help greatly appreciated.

Dentony, have you placed your STEAINS surname on the 'Your Surname Interests' board?
You'll find the link at the bottom of the page.  You never know you might get a nibble or find someone who is researching the same name  Smiley

b 10 Oct 1819 Surrey, England
Address at the time of birth was
Garden Row, St Giles, Camberwell

You are correct re: parents James Steains and Sarah Satchwell
l have more info on them if you wish.

A lot has happened with the Steains tree in the past year & whilst I have his date of death I didn't have his address at time of birth, so thank you for that.

I still have no death for the son John Phillips Jnr. but the family had connections to India, so possibly he died there.
His wife returned to America very shortly after the death of JP senior.

I have a far bit on Sarah Satchwell & James Steains too. 

Are you connected to the Steains tree & if so on which branch?
