Hi,
Yesterday was my first day so I have quite a lot to learn. 
Will anyone tell me what a "look up" is please?

also, I have found quite a bit of information on the WaterfordCountyClouncil Library website (Griffiths Valuation and Death Records etc) but can anyone tell me if I can access the Tithe Applotment  Records, or do you have to actually go there to see them?

The Tithe records are available on microfilm at the National Library in Dublin. Some of the northern counties are available on ancestry - but I'm not aware of any details for Waterford on line.
