Alfreton marriage 1716
« on: Wednesday 20 May 09 21:23 UTC (UK) »

Charles WIGLEY married Elizabeth BOLINGTON in Alfreton 17th April 1716.

It seems possible that Charles was born in London and baptised at St.Brides, Fleet Street.

If anyone is going to be at the DRO in Matlock and has time, I wonder whether they could please look up this marriage to see whether Charles is said to be 'of London' ?

Many thanks

Hi,
Some time since we communicated.

I have looked on the Phillimore Transcripts for this marriage, no parish is stated for either  this means
they were both of Alfreton Parish at the time of the marriage.

Oh well, bang goes another idea!   Many thanks for looking though....once again.

I did look at Phillimore's Duffield Marriages and couldn't find any mention of Charles Wigley on that date or similar so assume Alfreton is included somewhere else?
