Hi again
Many thanks for the kind words, it is nice to have something in my backyard that I can hopefully help with.
However Seahall your are right, the details appear to be for Northampton Town only (funny I could have sworn it was for Northamptonshire, now who's going mad) and what a coincidence that there was a Flying Horse Inn in the market square. Brackley's high street also encompasses a 'market square'
So Trees, I am still on it

Hi Trees
I have made contact with secretary of the Brackley & District History Society and although she was unable to give any information, she had details of a picture showing the pub and sign. It is not the best as it is a side view but here is a link should you wish to purchase a copy (as it is in the hands of an art gallery).

I will continue to try to find its location and will let you know if I find any info.

Many thanks Fue isn't it amazing how wide the road was when you consider the type of transport around then did they hold a market down the middle do you think? Manythanks for the link I doubt they ever thought people in 2009 would be a bit interested in their pub how wrong they were Cheers Trees

Hi Trees,
Yes the road is quite wide in the picture and further on it is even wider because it held large sheep/wool markets (scroll through the pictures on the link and you will be able to see one of the sheep markets )
( I'm off now to see if I can place your pub on the high street )
