In 1891 one of my ancestors was a 'Farm Baliff' in Helmingham Road (charity Farm) Ashbocking.
does anyone know what a farm baliff would have done or anything about charity farm?

Hi

A farm bailiff was probably employed by the landowner to see that tenant farmers kept the farm in a good state and paid their rents on time. I think the job still exists today.
