Richard Alexander Turnbull
« on: Tuesday 03 February 09 18:36 UTC (UK) »

Hi, we are searching for the family of Richard Alexander Turnbull and Catherine McQueen. They were married in Slamannon Stirling on Feb 12, 1932. Richard is the son of Richard Turnbull- gardener and Elspeth Fraser. Richard junior was born on Feb 13, 1903 in Melrose. Any information on this line of Turnbulls is greatly appreciated. Richard is related to the Turnbulls of Causewayend Ancrum and is a cousin of my grandfather George Henry Turnbull (Fred) born in 1897 in Lincoln County Ontario, Canada. Thanks in advance, Wendy

Hi Joe, Thankyou so much for all the information you found for us. It fills in a great many blanks, and that is great. My brother and I are very happy to have this. Do you know how we can get further information on the Richard born in 1903? He like many ancestors are elusive devils and their spirits must enjoy the digging we do to find them. .LOL We do not know where the little scotsman went to. You know, up until my brother and I started the family tree, our mother thought her family was very small, and she is amazed at how large it really is. Our family tree sure has a great many branches we did not know about. Have a great day, and thank you again. Wendy

Hi and thankyou so much for this information. I do believe this is the Catherine McQueen, and I will double check on the Hay name. But I am sure this is the one. Wow, she lived a long time, and we have another place to search for relatives. Thanks again, this is so much appreciated. Wendy
