Richard Fenning (b1818 Gosbeck, Suffolk) worked on the railways all his life.
He married his first wife, Sarah, in 1841 (Jun 1841 Hackney) before having his first child on 13 Feb 1842 in St Mark, Kennington, Surrey.
In 1851 (HO107/1780) he is with his second wife in Essex, as a railway porter for the EUR, where he stayed for the rest of his life.
I am descended from his second wife, so haven't looked for the exact date of his first marriage which is likely to be after the census, but could be before.
I can't see him in 1841.

The 1841 census was taken on the night of 6 June 1841 so it's more likely than not that a marriage in the quarter ended 30 June would have taken place before the census.
Indeed it did; on 30th May 1841.
More surprisingly he was described as a Police Constable on the certifictae, something he had definitely given up by 1847 but may still have been doing when his second child was born in Isleworth in 1844.
Still no sign of him in 1841 though.
