Hello Adam,I have a mystery family who disappeared from Tow Law after the 1871 census. Would you check and see if there are any MI's for them. Henry Robinson - b1831 his wife Margaret b1838 twin daughters Sarah and Ellen bDec 1866 and daughter Elizabeth b1869. Sarah or Ellen is my g grandmother. Her marriage cert gives her name as Sarah Ellen, but we don't know if it was Sarah or Ellen that died. Thanks for your time Jammies

Hello Jammies. There is not a gravestone for Henry or Margaret Robinson at Tow Law. What was the surnames of the daughters who married?

My g grandma (Sarah Ellen) married a John Smith on Mar 3 1888 at Lanchester registry office, and their first child was born Jul 18 1888 in Leadgate. I have no further info about Elizabeth Robinson. And I don't know if Sarah died and Ellen took her name - or vice versa. And researching all these John Smiths - well..... Thanks Jammies

Hello Jammies. Sorry no gravestones for your Smiths or Robinsons in the 10,000 or so gravestone inscriptions. I had a look at the combination of John and John plus Sarah Ellen. Likewise for a Henry and Henry and Margaret Robinson. There are 13 gravestones for Robinson at Tow Law so the Robinson name is well represented but unfortunately not yours.
