Hello Margaret. Only one 1976 inscription for McCabe. What information are you looking for other than gravestone inscriptions? I take it the McCabe family are Catholic.

Hello Margaret. I do have the deaths, baptisms and Marriages for Tow Law. The only entries that would give the place/address for the groom and brides parents would be the marriages. Unfortunately there are no Irish Counties or towns listed in the abode for parents. (see look up offers for Tow Law)

Hello Andy. There are three for Littlejohns but they are all way past my 1950 cut off date for posting.

Dear Adam,
I noticed on your list you had the surname Emerson. I'm looking for a John Emerson who probably died in Tow Law bet. 1881 & 91 and any family. He was a Methodist preacher and clerk to the Local Board but had previously been a bootmaker in Tow Law from the early 1850s. His wife was called Jane. Both came from Weardale. (Not sure where the Methodists were buried). Any help gratefully received.
Thanks, BR

Hello BR. There is only one gravestone for John Emerson at Tow Law and that is St Philips, Tow Law and not the municipal cemetery:-
In loving memory of John James Emerson, who died May/21/1881 aged 26 years.
There is a John Emmerson and Frances Jane at Crook, the Sun Inn, but I do not think that goes well with Methodism.

Many thanks for the speedy reply! The names you mention do not match up though with my records.
I think I will have to go direct to the Durham Records office as a lot of the methodist records are not on line yet. Many thanks for your help - much appreciated! BR
