Hello Margaret. Only one 1976 inscription for McCabe.
What information are you looking for other than gravestone inscriptions?
I take it the McCabe family are Catholic.

Hi Adam
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, the McCabes were a Catholic family. I suppose I'm looking for anything that might lead me to discover where in Ireland the family came from originally so I can persue that line.  I have names but that's about it.

Hello Margaret. I do have the deaths, baptisms and Marriages for Tow Law.
The only entries that would give the place/address for the groom and brides parents would be the marriages. Unfortunately there are no Irish Counties or towns listed in the abode for parents. (see look up offers for Tow Law)

Hello Vicky. Just the two gravestones for Hepburn:-

In loving memory of Elizabeth, the beloved wife of William Hepburn of Inkerman House, Tow law, who died September/1/1887 age 66 years.
Also the above William Hepburn, who died October/14/1891 aged 74 years.

In loving memory of Sarah hepburn, died 20/September/1922 aged 64 years.

Dear Adam,

I noticed on your list you had the surname Emerson. I'm looking for a John Emerson who probably died in Tow Law bet. 1881 & 91 and any family. He was a Methodist preacher and clerk to the Local Board but had previously been a bootmaker in Tow Law from the early 1850s. His wife was called Jane. Both came from Weardale. (Not sure where the Methodists were buried). Any help gratefully received.

Thanks, BR

Hello BR. There is only one gravestone for John Emerson at Tow Law and that is St Philips, Tow Law and not the municipal cemetery:-

In loving memory of John James Emerson, who died May/21/1881 aged 26 years.

There is a John Emmerson and Frances Jane at Crook,  the Sun Inn, but I do not think that goes well with Methodism.

Many thanks for the speedy reply! The names you mention do not match up though with my records.

I think I will have to go direct to the Durham Records office as a lot of the methodist records are not on line yet. Many thanks for your help - much appreciated! BR
