Thanks very much, I looked as well but couldn't find anything that looked to promising. I wish they both had 'Parker' in their names - it would make them much easier to find!

Sorry Rachael I can't find either of them in 1881 or 1891.  There are plenty of William's but not with the right birthplace or occupation, and of the Thomas's that I found none had the right birthplace or gave any indication of him being crippled.

No worries, thank-you very much for looking - it's possible that Thomas died because of his condition, and maybe William emigrated? It seems to have been a popular option around that time.
