yes that would be good although i hav'nt  got far with any of it the Harris side i can not find anything, and i have looked for Rose on other census and have got nothing so if you have any info it would be much appreciated, and we can work together..

hi

dont know if its the same Upton but my grannies brother Levi (midgie) Gumble married Lucy Upton-she also had a brother named Belcher and a sister Genty who married seaman Anderson from Belvedere Kent-i think there are more of them and i could find out more if it would help?

yes i have heard them names.rose Upton was my great granny, i f you could find out somemore about her i would be most grateful, i think the Harris side was gorji but cant seem to find out about them....thanks

only that she was like an evangelist my uncle said, but they my uncle never knew much about her or Rose for that matter thats why its making it hard for me,with nothing to go on

Rose Upton b 1888 had 2 sisters Olive b 1891 and Alice b 1886
Mother Janey Lee b 1865 in White Roothing Essex
Father Joseph Upton b 1865 in Navestock died 1919 in Poplar
I have no info as yet on Jane Lees ancestry but here is what I have on the Upton side....
Josephs father was also Joseph b 1865 in Thring stone Leicester d Sept 1880 i.n Leicester
Joseph snrs father was Walter Upton b 1799 in South Thurmaston Leicester d 1883 in Barrow upon Soar Liecester.
His mother was Mary b 1803 in Northampton died 1869 in Barrow Upon Soar
Walters father was Joseph ( not much imagination on the names) 1767 in Barkby Leicester not sure yet when he died.
Walters mother was Mary Vincent b 1772 in Syston Leicester.

Hope this all helps it is as far as I have got

In addition to the info above the Uptons were all travellers, who also married into traveller families Wink
