i don't know if you or you know of someone that is interested in this branch of the McLaren Family but my 3 x g grandfather is James Mclaren born c1824 in Perthshire I know that he married a Elizabeth Alney/Alner in 1858 in Dorset and that she was born 1841 in Dorset, they had at least 1 son my 2x grandfather John McLarenand he married a Mary Down/Downes from whom i am descended.  i believe tha John had a sister called Armenia but other than tis idon't know anything about the McLarens like who James's parents were or if he had any siblings or any information further back.  Could somebody please help?
