Hi

A few of my Suffolk rellies were gamekeepers. One was a gamekeeper in 1851 in Easton near Wickham Market.

Liz, if you have had time to check out the images of the projected disruption to the quiet Suffolk countryside, I probably do not need to tell you which camp I come under on the question of Snoasis.

Ben, fortunately, much of Easton is as it always has been - the lovely long crinkle-cranckle wall and the little round estate houses of the Duke of Hamilton's tenants.
Just Easton Farm Park there now, but that is not a huge enterprise and they do have events such as Suffolk Horses Parade there.
The pub is a good place to spend an hour or two at lunchtime too  Wink

Moley always was a little shortsighted, this led him under the impression he had been ignored, when really a new pair of glasses was all that was needed .....

Hi

I have been to Easton and taken several photographs. My ancestors lived for several decades from c1836 to the 1880s along the Hacheston Road in Easton, near Office Farm I think.

My great, great grandmother was christened at All Saints Easton in August 1851. At the time her father was a gamekeeper.

Hi

I find Suffolk a very quiet and tranquil county. Especially the heart of Suffolk where the really rural villages lay.

Hi Liz
I have just started researching the Greens (my OH's family rather than mine).  Currently, though, I'm having difficulty even positively identifying his grandfather; however, have now sent for the M Cert so hopefully that will get me going.  Currently I have identified two main suspects (both William George Green from Ipswich), one of which has his roots in Somersham.  So if it is this one, it might be that our trees will be interlinked.  If this is the case, I'll be in touch.
