There are a number of BROWNRIGG seekers on this list...just thought I'd renew the search. Looking for William BROWNRIGG, b. abt. 1787, married to Jane MORRIS, b. abt. 1785, Mullins, Kilcommon Parish, Wicklow. One question that has always puzzled me....why did they leave Ireland in 1823 and head to Canada?

What denomination were your Brownrigg ancestors? The political situation in Ireland during the early years of the nineteenth century probably caused many people to leave in search of somewhere to settle where neighbours lived in peace with each other.
I see you are researching Brownriggs of Wicklow. I noticed today there are others also searching for Brownriggs, on page 1, 2, 3, & 4, of Wicklow.
I am interested in the name Fearon who you mentioned. I have an Anne Fearon bc 1850 in Co Wicklow marrying 1871 to James Doyle, does this fit in anywhere with your Fearons? Julia
