Can't say I'm surprised that there's no primary evidence - didn't sound as if there was likely to be Sad

However, I've printed this list and I'll go through it carefully and come back and post what I find - may take a while - it's nearly tea time and I have to double as cook and bottle washer  Grin

First , just let me say I am giving the family with parents William and Harriet, as on your list;  however in both 1841 and 1851 there are two other families in Monks Risborough with son John born 1830  Huh

Finally:  there is an extracted marriage on IGI 18 Sept 1830, Monks Risborough William Rogers and Harriet Smith

Also a extracted Baptism for William Rogers 10 May 1810 Monks Risborough, father Joseph (no mother shown)

I can't see a marriage for a Joseph and a Hannah.

On the 1851 census they have a son Gaius aged 6.  Your list gives a James b. 1846.

The earlier Gaius died Q3. 1842.
A Gaius Rogers was born Q2  1845  -  this sits well with the 1851 census.

There is no James on the census, and the only two James Rogers registered in Wycome were in 1843 and 1850.
