Looking for info on Galbraiths from Greenock, Scotland.
Have a few details, from BMD's from James Watt Library here in Greenock but very little else. Some other details from Scotlandspeople and a distant cousin who is now an ancestor.

Hi grianaig
I think the only way to fill in the blanks
is to either get the certs from SP or
try finding them on the censuses
SP isn't really that expensive
it works out at about £1.20 per cert
I dont have any at the moment but will see what I can find

Hi Sarah
Great to hear from someone who is distantly related. I'm connected to the Galbraiths through my parental Grandmother Hannah Harrison Galbraith (1923-1999). Who was related to Willam Hunter Galbraith (1827-1906).
I found myself at obstacles as I wasn't sure of any of his siblings died at a young age, married or emigrated. At least now I can fill in a few blanks. Do you have any docs for Janet? would you be able to scan/photocopy and forward them? if so my e-mail addr is: (*)
If you need any docs then I can send copies of those that I have, mostly obtained from Scotlandspeople.
Have you ever been in contact with others from the Galbraith family? had only had contact with one other peron who sadly passed away last year. A lady by the name of Catherine Murray in the USA.

I have a gtgmther Margaret Galbraith McDougall whose father was Dugald Stewart McDougall and mother Catherine McFarlan both from Greenock I can't find the Galbraith connection - can anybody help? It's most likely to be a grandmother.
