Hi Paul,

Dorset FHS have transcribed MIs in Corfe Castle Old & New Cemeteries and St.Edmund King & Martyr.

I'm planning to call in to their HQ (Treetops) tomorrow so will have a look for you.  Do you know where your Stockleys are likely to be buried?

Hi Jan,

Thanks for the offer. There are nearly 70 Stockleys recorded buried in the Corfe Castle burial records. Three of them in my direct line. I have no idea if any of them had stones.

A distant relative, also a member of the Stockley family, is visiting Dorset from Australia in October and asked me if I knew of any Stockley graves. I was embarrassed to admit that I didn't so I thought I should like to rectify that.

I would welcome anything you find. Just a straight Stockley count would do if you are short of time. I have no idea which cemetery they will be in.

Hi Paul,

I've found 9 MIs in the Old Cemetery, some WW1/WW2 references inside the church and 27 MIs in the New Cemetery.

Many have more than one name.

If you'd like to PM an email address I'll send them, if not I'll PM in batches.
