Fotheringhay IS the the parish. A very small one.

William Berridge did not not marry there in 1729.

There is only one marriage around that time in the Northamptonshire marriage index for a William Berridge to an Elizabeth, and that is at Stamford St Martin
18th January 1726/27
If this couple did not baptise any children there then they they MAY be your couple who moved to Fotheringhay

Hi All

Duke  Smiley

I can see children being baptised to this couple after 1716 but not a marriage.

Northamptonshire is not well covered by the I.G.I. as they were originally
denied the Parish Records, although it is improving.

If you ask Alan Clarke he has indexed all the marriages in Northamptonshire
in the time frame you want and baptisms.

You can find his web site at http://www.northants1841.fsnet.co.uk/

I don't know where I got 1729 either!

Anyway the only Berridge to marry in Fotheringhay between 1700 and 1720 was Frances, she married Robert Sculthorpe of Warmington in 1716.
Perhaps she is the sister of William.
