Hi Listeners,

Having some problems trying to track down this ancestor. Sarah WHITE married James Oakley at Walton on the Hill, Surrey 26 Oct 1795. She is said to be a "native of Windsor" (??). She later married a Thomas Berryman in Chertsey in 1815.

I presume her birth date would be around 1774 but haven't been able to source her through the IGI or other resources.

Has anyone come across her or a family of Whites in Windsor in that time frame or can some one suggest my next plan of attack?

Can't help directly but I checked the Hugh Wallis batch numbers from the IGI for Eton and there are a large number of Whites there.  There are also a number of Sarah Whites but not quite the time frame you're after!

Eton is just over the border in Buckinghamshire and if it's anything like my family that comes from there then they spend a lot of time jumping back and forth over the border.
