I am trying to find out when my Great Grandparents married.
William born 1842 Upper Poppleton and Jane born 1845 Clifton.
First Census I find them to-geather is 1871  Huh  Roll Eyes

I think this may be the marriage:

Dec 1866 York  9d  133   PLUMMER  Jane    POWILL    William

If you were looking for them on freebmd, it sometimes helps if you tick the box at the bottom of the search page which says 'phonetic search surnames'
