Hi
I am looking for Samuel John Morris's date of birth at Irthlingborough, Northampton, because I unable to find his date of birth and also unable to order a birth cerificate, because in the Individual Record in the familyseach website and they have got 3 different date of birth, 3th October 1860 at Stanwick, Northampton, 12th October 1858 at Irthlingborough, or 31st December 1859 at Irthlingborough. His parents were Charles Morris and Emily Rye. I have got his marriage and death cerificates. Samuel married Mary Jane Meakins at the Parish Church, Irthlingborough on Dec 25th 1891. Also his death was 21st February 1931 at The Avenue, Stanwick, Northampton. aged 72.

Hi Valerie, Welcome to rootschat.
If you look up freebmd online you should find Sam's birth registration with its Rego. number & reg. district etc. which will enable you to order his birth cert. That will give you the exact date/place of birth etc.

Sure... it's a pain having to pay 7GBP to get the exact date etc...

Yes, it a pain to have to pay but I am not doing it.
I have tried Freebmd and it could be John Samuel Morris, it should be Samuel John Morris, birth sept,1858, District Northampton. Vol 3b and page 53. One day, I will go to Northampton Record Office to have a look his baptism again or contact Northampton Record Office soon.

Valerie welcome to Rootschat too. 
I have been looking at the census for the family and through the
Irthlingborough Parish Records.
The 1861 Census is not available for Irthlingborough else it would
have listed them.
There are no Baptisms for any children to Charles and Emily in
Irthlingborough.
I did find Samuel J Morris marriage though.
As Charles is 63 in 1871 where the family are in Stanwick and Emily
is 40 could this be a second marriage for Charles ?

I have just looked at Freebmd and there is this entry.
Samuel John Rye Dec Qtr 1858 Wellingborough
District which Irthlingborough comes under.
Therefore is Samuel illegitimate as it seems so.

Thankyou for your information. I have got Samuel John Morris's marriage and death cerificates. On the marriage cerificate, written say Samuel John Morris, not Rye. Samuel was born at Irthlingborough, Northants and he moved to Stanwick, Northampton, when he was baby or little boy before aged 12, because on the census 1871, Stanwick, He was living at Back Lane, Stanwick with his parents, and brothers and a sister.
Census 1871 Stanwick,
Charles Morris - Head Married aged 63
Emily Morris (nee Rye) Wife Married aged 40
Samuel John Morris - Son aged 12
Frederick George Morris - son aged 9
Charles Morris - son aged 5
Thomas Morris - son aged 2.
I will check census 1960 stanwick.
I was unable to find his birth and had a look everything, census, familysearch etc and couldn't find it for ages. I was trying to work out about it. So perhaps I will ask Irthlingborough, Stanwick, Raunds and Wellingborough Parish clerk about Samuel's buried as his death was 21st February 1931 at The Avenue, Stanwick Northants, he was formely bricklayer.
Also I have got Charles Morris and Emily Rye's marriage cerificate. He was aged 50 and widower. Yes he was remarried to Emily Rye at the Register Office, at Wellingborough on 13th November 1863. She was aged 32 when she got married.
Samuel John Morris married to Mary Jane Meakins at the Parish Church, Irthlingborough on 25th Dec 1891. She was born at Irthlingborough.

Thankyou for the message, Maybe that Samuel is not the father of Charles Morris. I will try find out about Samuel J Rye birth cerificate or i find out with his baptism at Northampton Record Office soon, before ordering birth Cerificate. Or perhaps Samuel was adopted or his mother Emily had him when he was born before married to Charles Morris.
