Hoping to find descendants of Philip and Susan Bevan, last known address was 23, Victoria Road, Cambridge, in 1924.

Children of Philip and Susan were Mabel, Philip, William, Edith, Jane, Louise, Frederick, Sidney, Leonard and James.

James Bevan was married to Lillian Lynch (my grandfather's half sister) in 1908, New York. James emigrated there in 1905 and Lillian emigrated from Dublin in 1902

Hi,

Just a couple of bits - in my 1930/31 Cambridge Street Directory, there is a Philip Bevan at 23 Victoria Road.  The next edition I have is 1951 when a Miss Bevan is listed at No. 23, she is in the 1955 Kelly's but not in the 1957.

A good place to post for living descendants would be the Cambridge News Online site, on the Cambrideshire Memories messagesboard, its free, you just have to register.

http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/cn_messageboards_home/

Also in case you haven't tried it the CAMDEX index of Cambridgeshire BMD might be helpful.

Good luck,

Not sure how much information you already have on this family or whether you just want descendants but there were burials of two Philip Bevan at St. Luke's Church, Chesterton (which is a church on Victoria Road).

1.  1916 Philip Bevan aged 34

2.  1930 Philip Bevan aged 77

You can search for births and marriages for the children on www.freebmd.org.uk or on various paying sites.   Can I just remind all that we do not put details of living people on rootschat and if it is possible that some may still be alive we need to take care.

Selina,

Thank you very much for the links. I've been able to gather more information from the CAMDEX index on some of the family members which is wonderful and the name of the church you gave me was a bonus-much appreciated. I'll certainly give the Cambridge News Online site a go.

sillgen,

Thank you for the reminder regarding living relatives. Should anyone be connected to this particular family, please send me a PM.
