Housing issue...
« on: Tuesday 19 May 09 20:38 UTC (UK) »

I’m probably asking too much, but id like to know what houses in Histon and Impington are heritage listed or are just down right OLD!
I found a site 2 years ago that had photos of some of the old houses but for the life of me I can’t find it again.
Any help in pointing out some of the old houses in the villages would be wonderful.

Hi Emma

I lived in Histon many moons ago, and I think you will find that the houses are just old. Although now there are plenty of modern housing  estates.
Saffron Road in Histon, had old houses along it,  and the main street, and  some in Impington. But I wouldnt have thought they were no different to any other villages up and down the country

If I remember correctly the house that Elizabeth Woodcock lived in still survives in Impington, it dates back to the 1700's. Think it has a plaque to say she lived there.
