Wallace - Galway

Hi,

I am looking for any information on my Great Great Grandfather Henry William (sometimes William Henry) WALLACE who emigrated from Galway to Australia some time around 1870.  His marriage and death certificates give his parents as John Wallace and Mary Cummins, and place of Birth as Galway - unfortunately no more than that.  He was Catholic and was born around 1842.

Any help would be so much appreciated.

im afraid i cant help with william but a john wallace married a mary commins in galway in 1838

try this site more infirmation is available but there is a charge

Hi Mick,
           can i ask how you worked it out that John Wallace Married a Mary Commins in Galway 1838?
I can find entries for both of them getting married 1838 Galway but not at the same parish/district.
I tried both East & West Galway with no luck?

Yes.  John Wallace married a margaret in Galway in 1838, not mary.   Cry
