Hi Bryant

As you are an old hand at this, I presume you have Father Esau's birth in 1803 & marriage to Hannah Roads?

The only Foskett I could find in 1851, was Aaron [Annon] who seems to be Esau's bother b 1803

Hello Wendy

Thankyou for your assistance
I wonder if its down to the enumerator's spelling of the surname? when William was christianed in 1831 Foskett was spelt FOSCOTE
Yes I do have the marriage in 1830 and his birth in 1805.....the IGI stated his name as being Esan but that was probably? the person who transcribed the Parish concerned, and the way people wrote the letter u it could quite easily be mistaken for the letter n.

Does your census provider allow you to do ESA* FO* or are you not allowed to use wild cards...my old provider originsnetwork allowed you to do so, my new provider findmypast doesn't and at this moment in time doesn't let me see the 1851, however I am supposably going to get to see the 1911 sometime this year at no extra cost!

Thanks

   Hi Bryant ....

Have looked on my Bucks cd for 1851 and they do not appear in Bucks.
  Spellings are  Fosket
                         Foskett ( a 75 year old Ann in G U) HO107/1721 F151
                                                                                  SCH 0054
                                       ( A 61 year old Elizabeth) HO107/1721 F 145
                                                                                   SCH 0003.

They have flown the coup this end.

Hello Tazzie

Thankyou for trying to help me.....

Ann Foskett is Esau's mother, she is living alone aged 65 just two doors away from Aaron in 1841 at Grendon......

I have just noticed that I have Hannah (Esau's wife) as dying in 1849 within the district of Hendon! which is Middlesex

Wendy/anyone.....could I have the details of Aaron Foskett & family in 1851 please (as mentioned by Wendy)

Hi Bryant

Sorry. I remembered last night that I hadn't put in birthplaces. Wary of putting on too much as it gets wiped.  Roll Eyes

All born in Grendon Bucks apart from -

Wife Hannah aged 34 b Marsh Gibbon Bucks
Frederick G aged 5  b Harrow Middlesex
Thomas aged 3 b Harrow Middlesex
Elfreda aged 1 b Northolt

Shows they were in Middx for a few years.

Hi Bryant

I've had another look at the 1851 for Esau but no luck.

You mentioned Hannah died in Hendon RD [includes Harrow] and Aaron [Annon] & Hannah had 2 children there so it seems possible Esau was there too.
