Can anybody please help me to fill the gaps of my Cardy family please? I only have census details for 1841 so anything extra will be a bonus especially marriage and death info.
Samuel born 1828
John born1830
Robert born 1833
William born 1836
These are the children of John Cardy and Elizabeth Linn of Church st Maxwelltown
and were christened in Dumfries
Also on the 1851 census there is a William L Hughes age 6 months who I can't connect to the family although on the next census he appears asWilliam L D Cardie-- would love to know his parents
Help much appreciated

On 1851 census John Cardy b 1798 Ireland, Milligan Close, Hand Loom weaver Elizabeth 55, Margaret 25, Margaret Rafferty grand-daughter 6 and William Hughes grand-son 6mo.

igi has John Cardy and Elizabeth Linn marriage as 21 July 1822 Dumfries
Margaret was born in Carlisle in 1828 and died in Lancashire 1901, she married a William Bottomly Schofield in Dumfries
1841 census has John 40, Elizabeth 40, Agness 17, Margaret 15, Samuel 12, John 10, Robert 7, William 5 and Agness Smyly a poor widow aged 80 born Ireland

I have the parents census details up to their deaths but I can't trace Margaret's siblings after 1841 census.Margaret is my gg grandmother .I think I may have found William transcribed as Carsdey on the English census living near to Margaret and I think having married herbrotherin law's sister but the others I haven't a clue on

presumably also Margaret Rafferty aged 6 on the 1851 census.
Possible Christening for Margaret Cardy in 1825 Carlisle as CARDAY, parents John Carday and Elizth.
Marriage 8th July 1859 Dumfries to William Bottomly.
