So far, I think we can say this is the worst episode ever.

This is a totally boring episode, it's all about his parents, not really worthy of the airtime.

Interesting from a social history perspective of the early twentieth century, less so from a family history point of view!

I really enjoyed this episode, the exploration of the early 20th century exploits of his parents was a refreshing change, and you cannot help but marvel at the brass neck and single mindedness of the early missionaries in taking christianity to the Chinese  Shocked Roll Eyes

I suppose it picked up towards the end.

Even so, lets hope for a better episode next week...

I found the episode interesting and engaging but not classic WDYTYA. I would have preferred more documentary evidence, going further back into his tree, and less speculating about his parents' feelings.

What a boring episode. Too much speculating and not enough documents!
This series so far has been a bit hit and miss, the only one I really enjoyed was Fiona Bruce.
Lets hope the last two episodes are more inspiring.

Little research and leaves you want to know more about unmentioned members of his tree
