CAIN Family - Ipswich

Looking for any information on James Cain. According to his death and marriage records (here in Australia) he was born abt 1814-1819 in Ipswich, Suffolk England (do not know which Parish) with his parents James and Sarah Ellis born 1791 Suffolk. James and Sarah believed to be married abt 1813 Suffolk?. James came to Australia about 1834, supposedly not as a convict.
Any information on James and/or his parents would be appreciated.

By 1841 there are no CAINs living in Ipswich.  I fear that your seach for James' origins may be problematic in that there is not currently a central database for Suffolk baptisms and as you yourself intimate there are many parishes within the town.  You may be fortunate and someone who is visiting the Suffolk Record Office may be willing to check them all for you or better yet, you may make contact with a distant relative who has already done the research and is willing to share this.

I have checked the Suffolk Marriage Index 1813-1837 for a marriage between James CAIN and Sarah, without success I'm afraid.

Thanks for the reply and checking the marriages. Someone may do a check, however that is a lot of work for not their own family interest. Unfortunately the relatives in Australia have drawn a blank the same as I have, and do not know of any overseas Cain relatives.
