Im trying to find a birth of Oscar Philpotts in about 1906 in Buckie Banffs. He is not a relation of mine but I knew him and was close to him when I was a child. Id love to know more of this lovely man. Any help would be wonderful. If there is any relations of this man I do have some photos of him and willing to share them.

Sorry but no I'm not a relative.  I wonder if this might be his birth or perhaps a relative?

1910 PHILPOT OSWALD EDWARD M RATHVEN /BANFF 164/00 0115

Can't view that image online for some time yet but there are these additional Philpot children born in Banff around this time...

1901 PHILPOT CARLTON COLVILL
1906 PHILPOT WILLIAM FREDERI
1907 PHILPOT MARY THEODORA
1912 PHILPOT HANNAH EMILY RU

The details from the 1901 birth above give parents names of Fredrick Philpot, mechanical engineer and Roxanne Philpot ms Cady.  Carlton was born 23 March in Buckie.  Parents were married 14 Dec 1898 in Suffolk.  I'm not seeing the family on the 1901 census yet though.

If you think this might be the right family perhaps you can have some success in tracking down some descendants who might love to have photos!

Address: 24 Redhaven St 

Household consisted of:
Fredrick J Phelpot age 29, b. England, occ:  Mechanical Engineer 
Rosanna Phelpot age 30, wife, b. England 
Carlton C Phelpot age 1mo, son 
Emily Phelpot age 72, mother, b. England
