Brilliant site.  Have had loads of help from other Rootschatters, and try to help others when I can, although I am nowhere near as good as some!  How they find all the info beats me!

Since I joined about a week or so ago, I have been in "hog heaven" ... this place, and the kind souls who live here, have been a godsend in my genealogy research.

I have no clue how any of you find the info you do.  You got some magic fingers.  Cheesy

I truly appreciate everyone who has helped in some way ...  Kiss

I believe Barbara that it's a case of the whole being more than the sum of its parts; as a philosopher once said. I have been a member 6 months and have made more progress than in the last 12 years. Still not demolished the biggest wall though!

I agree with Redroger wholeheartedly and would add if you are looking for any particular county if you go to the county board you will find a board called resources for just about all counties which is a list of threads showing useful websites for each one.  ie Sussex - third one down http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,37.0.html

Welcome to rootschat and enjoy  Smiley

Hi everyone,

It has opened up a treasure chest of useful information, wish I'd discovered it sooner.

My ironing pile is growing by the day!

As a mere man why not replace your and your family's wardrobes with non iron clothing?

No answer to that. Did you know that there is a UKIP MEP who joined the women's committee at Brussels because he said his wife failed to clean behind the fridge enough?

I have already found some useful info on MI's.  Perhaps most striking is that even among like minded individuals there are so many strongly held views on what is appropriate and what is not.

I don't post a lot but I read a lot.   When Rootschat is busy I pop over the the Belfast Forum even though I have only one Irish ancestor.   I have learned so much and found so many links to help my research and it is credit to the Forum and the people who support it.  Your information is invaluable to everyone. Thanks.  Dorliz Smiley
