can someone help

I am trying to find a J Benson who appeared on his fathers death certificate a Francis Benson who died 1923. On Francis's death certificate it stated J Benson was in HMS Institution Polmont. I have looked on the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census and can't find a J Benson, can anyone help.

Could we be talking about Polmont Jail here, today its a Young Offenders Institution, don't know what it was then.
