William James Scriven was born 1874 Alveley and was a policeman in Dudley in 1901..resident at the Police Station in Priory Street...EP St Thomas
He may have married Beatrice Bate in 1904.
Does anyone know anything more about him after 1901?
Any help gratefully received

 I have now found William and Beatrice in 1911 and sadly it seems that this William was born abt 1886..tying in with a William Scriven born 1885 Dudley and about the same age as Beatrice.
It had seemed very hopeful as a Bate family lived along the road from the Police House where William J. was in 1901.

I think that is him!!!I have found hm in the 1911 census and all matches.
