Ok sorry.   Just trying to be helpful

They could have got married late.  If you could afford it the birth cert would cofirm. It matches with his age on the census though.

ps  well not quite matches his age

I should say sorry
I didnt mean anything by it i know it happened but my brain was thinking not in my family ha ha
I was thinking 2 years is a big gap and maybe there was more children.
If you could type it up for me it would be a big help thankyou.

Thank you for your help

You've got Sylvia 1867 and Kate 1865 that the IGI doesn't give, and I've got Emily 1870 that you haven't got in your list.

Whew, gets quite confusing!   she did have a lot.

If I put just the parents names in the IGI Sylvia turns up, she was christened Eton, so it's not the same batch number.  So the IGI is giving 13 children now.

There may have been o thers that never made it to the christening.  whew again.

The odd one is Kate, and as you say, she matches with Anne.

Cheesy   I think she'd have a job fitting any more in!!!  Unless there are more twins that haven't showed up yet!

1845   Charles and Frederick (twins) Sep Eton 6/347
1854   Alice and Ann (twins ) June Eton 3a/321
1857   Alfred and Ellen (twins) June Eton 3a/351
1868   Ernest and George (twins)
1870   Emily and Rose (twins)  Dec 1879 Eton 3a/431

So 2 sets of these twins are Sophia's may be 3 the only way to find out is sending for birth cer witch will cost a lot of money but i do have Alfreds it will have to wait till payday.

LOL my gt-granny had (at last count) 15 children - including 3 sets of male/female twins, all confirmed with birth certs & baptism registers (some are pre-registration)
1 set of twins are on the 1881 cancus as "David Twin" and "Charlotte twin" along with their surname!

I also have 3 'gaps' I suspect may have had pregnancies/births/deaths in possibly but not confirmed yet, I am still trying to work thru the registers.!
