Marriage

Hi, I am looking for someone who is living in or near Trim, Co Meath who would be willing to have a look at the records office for the marriage of my great grand parents, James Gallagher and Anne Crowcock. I found their marriage in the LDS film #0926185 for the RC Trim Parish Registers as October 25,1868. I wrote the Civil Reg Ofc at Joyce House for a copy and they say they have no record. IF this record is found I would love to have a copy, of course paying all expenses. Thank you for your help.

A copy of the Civil BMD index is available to search at : http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1408347;p=2;t=searchable  This is based on the same index books that the GRO use.

The closest matches for the surname that I see near to Trim around the right time are a marriage of an Ellen Crocock in 1866 and the birth of a William Crowcock in 1864. The only James Gallagher marriage that I see in the area is in 1871. Maybe the marriage was not registered correctly for some reason ?

The RC parish records for Trim parish are available on microfilm in the National Library on film P.4179. Baptisms and marriages from 1829 to 1880 are included. I assume this film is of the same regsiter as the LDS film you mention.

Some transcripts from Co. Meath are available on the Irish Family History Foundation pay-website at www.irish-roots.ie  Their list of sources includes Trim RC parish but there does not seem to be any Crowcock marriages in that parish in their database.
