I think there may be more than one place named Gortin (or Gorteen) but the mention of 'Beltrim' would lead me to suspect maybe this refrers to  - Beltrim Castle, Gortin, Co. Tyrone.

If someone can tell me how to search over 800 replies to you, I would know or not whether you have found William Dudgeon in the Tyrone 1911 census.I found him because his family is just below my grandfather's. Poor young man. He must have been only 18 when he was killed. He lived on the Beltrim Castle estate and like many Irish boys may have followed the landlord, Col.Cole-Hamilton, to the war as they both seem to have been in The Royal Irish Rifles.. The 1911 census is great. It's at www.census.nationalarchives.ie. Just follow Tyrone - Gortin - Beltrim and there he is - 10 years old. The 1901 census is not on line yet and can be seen only at the Public Records Office in Belfast. There are bits on line at PRONI.  I'm curious why you wanted to know about William as  he can't have had much opportunity to have a family. I know Gortin (they say "Gorchin") very well and visit most years to see family there. So if I can tell you any thing else, please ask.
