he married  in 1861 to Mary Edwards c 1825 Llanarmon

Hi Audrey,
Unfortunately the records I have stop at 1810 but on the IGIndex there is a Thomas Francis baptised 6 April 1822 at Llanferres father John Francis and mother Mary. I have a marriage record in the Llanferres PRs between a John Francis of Llanarmon (x) and a Mary Griffiths of Llanferres ( X) September 4TH 1820 witnesses Thomas Francis and Elizabeth Griffiths.
I think this is ?who you are looking for - let me know if you need further help the records go much further back than this .,

Hi again,
No baptism record of a John Francis in the Llanarmon yn ial records or of a John Francis of a relevant age in the Llanferres nes either. I have Francis ancestors also but mine were baptised in Mold and Llanferres.
Why not post a look up request for Mold instead - you may be lucky as I was. My G G Great granmother was Martha Francis b 1802 in Gwernymyndd - we may even share ancestry?

Could you possibly do a look up for me in the Llanferres parish records?
Edward Jones christened about 1794.  He married Margaret about 1818.

Edward and Margaret's son John Jones was christened at Llanarmon yn ial (according to the IGI).  Could you look up the record and let me know if there is any other information?

I am also looking for the christening of John Jones (grandson of Edward and Margaret) who was born in 1861.  Do you have any idea where the records are held?

Hi Beza,
I have the baptism of John Jones son of Edward Jones (miner) and Margaret - abode Cyfnant on July 21st 1819.
Siblings Daniel baptised Jun 10th 1821
    ''        Edward baptised Jun 8th 1817
    ''        Jane baptised Jan 14th 1816
2 records of a marriage in  Llanarmon yn Ial between an Edward Jones (bachelor)and a Margaret within these dates:-

25th December 1813  Edward Jones and Margaret Jones married by banns both of the parish( both made their mark) - witnesses were Samuel Jones and Mary Jones 

Jun 3rd 1815 Edward Jones and Margaret Davies married by banns both of the parish (he signed and she made her mark) witnesses Peter Parry and Sarah Davies.


Edward Jones son of Lewis and Mary Jones baptised at Llanferres July 16th 1793.

No other information sorry - no marriage record of Lewis and Mary in either parish.

Cyfnant still exists as an address and lies between Llanarmon and Llanferres - you should be able to locate it on Google earth.

The later baptism records would be held in the county records office in Ruthin I would think - hope this is helpful.
