Hi,
I don't know where to look next!

Robert Brown born circa 1952 in Aldgate or Islington.  I have just received Robert's Marriage certificate and it shows his father as Joseph Brown occupation watch jeweller.  Robert in 1881 is a watch maker

On the 1861 census there is a Joseph Brown, widower aged 43 born 1818 in Clerkenwell.  If this is the right Joseph then Robert is living where?  There are a couple of boys in reformitories.  Wandsworth Bridgehouse reformatory and he is aged 12 and another Kingswood Reformatory School in Somerset aged 11.

I cannot find a Joseph watch maker or jeweller except the widower.  Does anyone have any suggestions where to go from here?

I don`t know if you have Joseph Brown in 1851 Census but could this be him?

HO107/1519/184.  18 Brewer St, Clerkenwell.

Brown Joseph  H M 34   Watch Jeweller          b. Clerkenwell
Brown Ann W   WM 25                                     b. Edmonton
Brown Ann W   Dau 03                                    b. Tottenham
Brown Joseph  Son 02                                     b. Clerkenwell
