hi Chris,im going to that church in september,to find my mothers family,my ggrandfather was married there,u didnt c any surname of Bish in the graveyard,im looking forward to going to lewes again,i use to work there W.E.Baxters

Hi Sharon, not sure you posted to the correct person.
Think you mentioned Bish. I know Lewes & have many relatives from there.
but never come across any of that name.

i have James Bish married 2 elizabeth boxall at All Saints Lewes,1839 they had the Kings Arms,they had 7 children,William Bish(son) bn 15/3/1826 Lewes, he married mary Stephens b in Lewes had 3 children ,Frank Edward Bish bn 4/8/1859 died 1915 lewes,married Amelia Taylor in Lewes they had 10 children,Fredrick Bish (son) (my grandfather) born 4/4/1897 married Florance Locke,they had 3 children Dorothy Bish (daughter my mother),im finding it hard to find the family,dead or alive,as im coming over in september for 5 nites,i wanted to c where they r buried,any help

When visiting Lewes best to visit the Records Office near the Castle you ill find it very helpful

If anyone intends to visit the East Sussex Record Office over the next month or so, it would be advisable to check that the research room is open as there will be building works ongoing over this period.

This thread was originally started by Chrisin1066land and he offers to do look ups for people in Lewes.   All replies are therefore relevant to him.  Facellia - you joined the thread to ask him a question and therefore you see all the other posts which are aimed at him, not at you.    Once you have joined any thread you get notifications of all other posts made to it - regardless of whether they apply to you.  You just ignore them if they are not relevant.   Hope that makes the position clearer.
Ballagh -It might be best if you start your own thread on the Sussex Look Up Request board for your Bish family.   Chris is away so cannot help but there will be others who can help but who will not see your query on this thread.
