I am trying to track the ancestry of George Stewart.

Born Clones, circa 1837 (from 1871 census). His father was Thomas Stewart, labourer. George may be in the 1851 census for St. Pauls, Manchester, England as nephew of : George Walker 44 (b Ireland) with his wife Catherine 34 (b Scotland) and children James 9 (b Scotland) & Catherine 3 (b Manchester). Also with the same family appear: Elizabeth Campbell, wife's sister, 26, b Scotland; and John Manly 14, (b Ireland).

George Stewart married Emily Joll 12 Dec 1861 at Devon, England. He was a Corporal in the 37th Regiment at Devonport at the time. He possibly died in 1872 at Devon.

If anyone recognizes this family, I'd be very interested in hearing from you.
