does the Wexford baptism cert you mentioned include the priest's name ?
if so I might be able to find out where he was based - many of the Commercial directories include local priests.

The Commercial directories usually list gentry, clergy, officials and business & trades people - like a modern yellow pages. Some of the later ones include farmers and general households.
I have Slaters Directories for 1846 and 1870 - a few years off the 1855 baptism, but the priest could still be included. If you post the name I'll have a look...

no matches yet...
I wonder could the name be Wickham ?
I've seen a few of that name in trades around the county e.g. Taghmon, Wexford town.

these are the only Catholic priest names that I can see that look anything like 'Wicklamee' - neither are Matthew though ..
1870 - ROMAN CATHOLIC CHAPELS:
Dunlavin. .(Wicklow) Rev James Whittle, parish priest; Rev Terence O'Reilly, curate
Gorey... Rev James Lacy, P.P.: Rev Robert Sinnot and Rev. James Woddick, curates
it might be worth checking out for clues to the witnesses - I've seen post relating to the Mythen surname in Wexford that could be a clue..
